Two teenagers have been charged in connection with a deadly stabbing inside a convenience store in Lynn on Tuesday night, law enforcement officials announced Wednesday. One teen will be arraigned as an adult in Lynn District Court on a charge of murder, while the second teen will be arraigned on a charge of possession of a dangerous weapon, according to Essex District Attorney Paul F. Tucker and Lynn Police Chief Chris Reddy. Their names haven’t been released. Officers responding to the Alpha Convenience Store at 1 Freeman Square around 6 p.m. found a third teen suffering from serious stab wounds, officials said. The victim, whose name hasn’t been released, was pronounced dead at Salem Hospital a short time later. Their identity is being withheld pending notification of family and friends. Locals are being forced to conduct their own recovery efforts and were horrified to find charred remains of entire families huddled together. Maui resident Allisen Medina, who spoke with the Daily Mail, says the government is not doing anything to help. “The Government, relief organizations, they're not doing anything.” “We have the right to know what's going on. FEMA came here to help with the recovery [process] but we don't see them.” “We're only 100 miles from Oahu which has several military bases. Why is the response so lacking? NEW: Maui Emergency Management Agency chief Herman Andaya has resigned due to “health reasons” after he refused to play sirens to alert Maui residents of the fire. He should be dragged away in handcuffs and thrown in jail instead. Before resigning, Andaya made it clear that he did not regret his decision to not alert residents. "Had we sounded the sirens that night, we were afraid that people would have gone mauka (mountainside)... and if that was the case then they would have gone into the fire," he said.
